Language changes and calculator-menu navigation between pages use sessionStorage in this tab to transfer location, timezone, date format, theme and panel settings. The transfer expires after 60 seconds and is deleted on arrival; the URL fragment contains only a random reference. If sessionStorage is unavailable, some settings return to defaults and location detection may repeat.
Calculations run in your browser. Entered dates are not sent to a calculation API. A hosting provider receives normal request information such as IP address, URL and browser metadata when serving the site.
On the published website, on fresh page loads without a supported country in the URL, or when switching to IP, our location endpoint uses the connection IP supplied by the hosting gateway with a locally hosted country database. Approximate region and timezone metadata is used when available. On Azure, only the country is detected, so its default region and timezone are used. If the gateway does not supply a trusted connection address, detection is unavailable. The endpoint does not store or return your IP address or contact another geolocation service. Hosting-provider request logs are separate. During localhost development only, the server contacts Cloudflare for the development computer’s public-connection country, region and timezone. Language stays as selected, and you can override every suggestion.
Theme preferences, the last manually chosen language and saved targets use local storage on this device. On fresh page loads, location and date format are chosen from country/region in the URL or the current IP; language comes from the URL and otherwise defaults to English. Cookie settings lets you remove them. Share links contain the dates, location settings and event details you choose to share; anyone with the link can read them.
The Google AdSense script loads on all pages. Your browser sends Google information such as your IP address, page URL and browser or device information. Page URLs can include dates, location settings or event details from shared calculator links. Google may use this information to provide advertising services, measure performance, prevent fraud and, depending on your settings and consent, personalize advertising.
