Enter your birth date and time, including seconds, in the format selected in the site settings. US uses a 12-hour time with AM or PM; EU and ISO use a 24-hour time. Changing the format keeps the same birth date and time.
Choose the timezone of the place where you were born. It identifies your birth instant and supplies the calendar for years, months, weeks and days. It initially uses the site timezone, but remains independent after the calculator opens. Travelling or changing your current location does not change your age. There is no separate calculation timezone.
The result updates automatically in years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. Years and months use calendar arithmetic in the birth timezone; weeks are seven calendar days. Hours, minutes and seconds show the remaining elapsed time. Daylight-saving changes can affect the remaining hours. An invalid, nonexistent or future birth time shows an error. If a birth time occurs twice when clocks go back, the earlier occurrence is used.
Timezone lists run from east to west by their displayed UTC offset. Places with the same offset are alphabetical. Display copies a link to a read-only live age view. Share copies a link containing your birth date, time and birth timezone. Anyone with that link can read those details. Verify critical dates before relying on the result.
Worked example
A person born on January 1, 2000 at 00:00:00 UTC is exactly 26 years old on January 1, 2026 at 00:00:00 UTC, whether they are currently in Toronto or Paris.
